Duplex paper is an incredibly good value foodgrade paper sheet, popular with butchers, delis and sandwich shops. The paper is a foodgrade white or brown kraft sheet which can be branded with your 1 or 2 colour design. It is finished with a foodgrade HDPE sheet glued to the backside. In use, the non printed side is used and once wrapped, the presentation is stylish.
ESC Packaging has been supplying duplex paper since 1997! It has never lost it’s appeal with clients because it represents brilliant value, with each sheet weighing 5g it is safe to weigh with the product over the weighing scales! This means that the cost of the sheet is more than covered by the product being purchased. Win – Win for everyone.
Flexo printed with rubber printing plates.
We use water based pantone inks 1, 2 or 3 ink colours.
With all flexographic printed products, each colour printed will require a rubber plate to be made. Each plate carries a charge. This is why adding extra ink colours onto a flexographically printed sheet costs extra up front.
Unlike litho plates, we keep the flexo rubber plates for re-use so the upfront set up charge only applies to the first order. The plates keep well and can be used for many years to come.
The screen ruling for designs with tints and tonal elements is 55 LPI so shaded areas are best kept to a minimum as the dots can be quite visible to the naked eye and are not fine like digital or litho prints.
The most popular size is 10 inches wide x 15 inches tall or in metric 25cm x 37.5cm.

These sheets are packed in 10Kg cartons and are bagged inside in 2 x 5Kg packs.
27cm x 38cm x 50gsm paper – minimum 300Kg (50,000 sheets) luxury paper with a higher cost
25cm x 37.5cm x 45gsm paper – minimum 500Kg (110,000 sheets) which represents the best value
Our standard lead time is 6-8 weeks
All of our factories use FSC sourced paper although some printers are not FSC accredited themselves. All are audited to BRC food standards or equivalent.
Inks are water based.
All prices are calculated individually based upon your requirements.

Note that as with all flexographically made products, there is a 10% tolerance allowed on the final quantity made and we always charge for the exact number produced.
