PRINTING OPTIONS
Flexo gravure cylinder printed for the very best quality print.
We use water based pantone inks.
With all flexographic printed products, each colour printed and side printed will require a cylinder to be made. Each cylinder carries a charge. This is why adding extra ink colours onto a flexographically printed bag costs extra up front.
Unlike litho plates, we keep the cylinders for re-use so the upfront set up charge only applies to the first order. These keep very well and can be used for many years to come.
The screen ruling for designs with tints and tonal elements is 75 LPI so shaded areas are best kept to a minimum as the dots can be quite visible to the naked eye and are not fine like digital or litho prints.
SIZES
The most popular size is 275mm x 425mm x 525mm which in old Imperial measurements is an 11″ x 17″ x 21″
This is 275mm wide across the face. 150mm side gusset making 425mm total width. Then 525mm height including the bunny ear handles.
Smallest possible size is : 210mm x 310mm x 406mm
Largest possible size is: 400mm x 600mm x 750mm
As they are made to order you can have any size you like, there are no standard sizes really, just popular sizes in the industry.

DELIVERY TIMESCALE
We have well established European (8-10 week) and Far East / Vietnam (14-16 week) supply chains, direct to factory.
We always consolidate freight and try never to bring in an order alone. This shares the carbon footprint through multiple orders and keeps the pricing very low. For this reason we cannot expedite orders.
ENVIRONMENTAL CREDENTIALS
We aim to include a minimum 30% recycled content in all our films, as standard, and we can supply up to 100% Post Consumer Waste (PCW) recycled films too for those clients keen to make a positive impact on our planet. If there is a direct food contact need we would only ever supply virgin films.
The inks used are water based.
Imported bags arrive via truck or sea into our local port, Grangemouth, and we try to consolidate orders so they don’t travel alone. This helps to keep the carbon footprint as low as possible.
